Yes, I got an Easter basket and got to do an Easter egg hunt thanks to my husband!

We both surprised each other with Easter baskets....a childhood tradition for both of us that neither of us wanted to miss out on.

Trip to Mexico

One sunny Saturday we didn't have anything to do so we decided to drive down to Ensenada, Mexico which is about 1.5 hours south of the border.  HUGE MISTAKE!!  It was a beautiful drive because the road is right along the coast but the town wasn't anything great.  We thought it would be more "resort-ish" but nope.  We did find a good restaurant to eat at and looked in a few shops then decided to head back to the States.  It was getting dark as we arrived back to Tijiuana where the border crossing is located, and the cars were backed up for miles.   Finally, after two and a half hours of waiting in line (which we where told later that we made good time because normally the wait is 5-6 hours), we were able to cross the border and swore we would NEVER do that again!!

We are finally living in our new condo in La Jolla, California.  My belongings have yet to arrive from the move so, before that 18 wheeler pulls up with all of my clothes and shoes (not really), we have to do something about the closet situation.  We have a really long closet but it only has a long pole and one shelf on top....that will definitely not work!  Since we really don't have room for any type of chest of drawers in our bedroom, we are going to have to get creative with the closet.  Nick comes up with a great idea for us to build a organizational closet system!  One problem...we've never built anything like this before and the only tool we have is a cordless drill.  So, after many hours of research (thanks Nick), many measurements, and many trips to Home Depot I think we got what we need.  So here we go...
