Wicked

So I'm a little behind on updating...sorry!  This is from our awesome girl trip back in October.  We drove to L.A. for the day to see the Broadway performance of Wicked at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood.  It was incredible!!  I recommend it to everyone!!

Rock Climbing

We are having a blast just hanging out, going to the beach, rock climbing....

Boot Camp Challenge

One of the Marine bases here in San Diego (MCRD) was hosting a "Boot Camp Challenge" so us Marine wives thought it would be fun to participate in this 3 mile obstacle course event to show our husbands we could do boot camp too!
All of the husbands are in Nick's squadron and currently deployed to Iraq and Afganistan.  This was the day after Nick got home..and sadly I made him wake up at 6:30 a.m. and go on base of all place!  He was a great sport about it and very happy to cheer us on and take pics and be the "stand-in husband."  Thanks, Baby!  You're the best husband ever!!

doing a little pre-race stretching
 "Screw Crew Sweeties"
(This was our team name to represent for our husbands' squadron The Screw Crew)
They had real drill sergeants that would yell at you throughout the course...they even chased us down and made us do push ups and jumping jacks!!
We made it through boot camp and still look hot!!!

Nick found a buddy!  ...an English Bulldog not to mention the Marine Corps' mascot!!

HE'S HOME

NICK IS HOME!!!!
Wow, this homecoming was the most amazing experience!  The families were all at the "designated meeting spot" on base just waiting...and waiting....and waiting....until finally we got the call that the bus was pulling in so everyone went and lined the road with their banners and flowers and balloons and stood waving as the bus pulled up.  It was hard to contain myself as they filed off the bus until finally my husband came off....then had to wait in line again to turn in his weapons...finally he came over to me and picked we up and twirled me around and it was the best hug EVER!!

Getting his gear
Finalizing details
Ready to go home!!

Puppy Sitting

Here is the CUTEST puppy ever...his name is Cash and I was puppy sitting him for a week.  He is very, very spoiled and not used to being left alone so I was with him almost 24/7!  I didn't mind at all because he was just so cute and sweet!!  We became best buddies and he kept me company since Nick is gone.

Sunbathing

Is that not the cutest little face ever?!?
